FAQs
What if I don't look good in pictures? What if I'm camera shy?
I completely understand your apprehension, I too used to be camera shy. But check it out, while you may believe that you don't look good in pictures right now, my goal and mission is to change that perception you have of yourself. To do this we start every session getting to know you and understanding you, your goals, and the brand you are trying to build. We want you to be your best self and want to bring that out in your images.
What should I wear?
Wear what makes you feel comfortable, professional, and approachable. Bring several outfits and we can decide together what will achieve your goal and bring out your best look and make you the most confident in your headshots or portraits.
For headshots we recommend the uniform that you wear if applicable, or the style outfit you commonly wear to the office.
For portraits we recommend the outfit that makes you feel most like you, the outfit that makes you glow or that you just want to show off. We want to capture your best, most genuine self and that requires you to be happy and comfortable in what you're wearing.
I wear jewelry, what should I do with it?
In most cases we recommend keeping jewelry simple and minimal. The reason for doing so is to reduce distractions in the photo so that your brand and image are the primary focus. However, it is important to note that if your jewelry is part of your brand, image, or who you are, by all means bring it with you and we will include it.
Do you retouch photos?
I only retouch what matters most to you in your photos, stray hair that didn't cooperate, blemishes at request, or pesky equipment that happened to creep into the shot in the studio. Additional retouching can be done at request for an additional charge. The reason for the minimalist approach to retouching is because we are selling your genuine image and don't want that to come across as fake. To best achieve this, we try to refrain from removing freckles, birth marks, or other permanent features.
Where does the session happen?
Session location depends on the session that is being booked and is usually discussed in the initial booking interactions. To simplify, unless otherwise noted commercial headshot sessions are usually held on location using portable backdrops and lighting, studio headshots for individuals are held in the Tx3 Pics home studio, and portrait sessions are based on request.
How long does it take to get images back?
Most sessions take approximately 5-7 business days to get photos back this can be expedited for an additional cost. If your session includes retouching or additional retouching is requested, photos may take slightly longer and can be expected in 10-14 business days.
Where are you located?
Tx3 Pics is located in Cartersville Georgia.
Where do you take pictures at?
We primarily take photos in Atlanta and North Georgia, however; we will travel to take portraits and headshots. For any location more than 50 miles outside Cartersville an additional charge of 0.60 cents per mile will be charged. For any location outside the state of Georgia a consultation on travel and travel fees will be conducted to find the best fit for you.
How much time should I book?
Session timing is highly dependent on the goal of the session. Most headshot sessions are 30-45 minutes, while portrait sessions start at 30 minutes for our mini sessions and go up in 15 minute blocks from there. For headshot sessions we only recommend booking what you need, this means booking the 30 minute session if you’re only looking for company portal headshots and increasing the package based on needs.
For portrait sessions we recommend starting with a 30 minute consultation to discuss the goals of the shoot before settling on a package.
My final advice, if you’re unsure, just reach out, we give free consultation on all services and package so that we can make sure you get what is right for you.
